Norda

Walk. Run. Explore.
Don't lose your way.

Norda is a minimalist, offline-first outdoor navigation app: walk/run recording, offline maps, compass, Return to Start, waypoints and GPX — all without internet, all on your device.

Features

Walk & run recording

Filtered GPS, auto-pause, live pace and hysteresis-based elevation gain. Recording continues with the screen off; data is recovered after a process interruption.

Offline maps

MBTiles region packs built on its own pipeline: download, then roam in airplane mode. Even without a pack, the track and your position are drawn.

Compass + Return to Start

True north, magnetic disturbance warning and the way back to the start: bearing, distance, ETA, course correction.

Waypoint & GPX

Drop a point with a single tap; take your track as GPX — summary, battery and filter telemetry travel inside the file. Import is there too.

See GPS on screen

Before you start, the "GPS ready · ± X m" line and the satellite count: no blind waiting, why the recording is waiting is always visible.

Battery measurement

Start/end battery percentage and the %/hour rate for every activity in History — talk about drain with data, not guesses.

Stance

Clean track

Only real GNSS points that pass the quality gate enter the recording; network/WiFi location never mixes into the track. Saying "ready" can take a moment — in return, every point of your track is real.

Stays on your device

Location data never leaves your phone; no telemetry, no account, no cloud. The only thing that touches the network is the map pack downloader.

Zero dependencies

Android SDK + Kotlin only. No ad SDK, no analytics, no Play Services — a ≈110 KB signed APK, one readable repository.

Map packs

Region packs are built on this repository's own GitHub Actions pipeline, versioned, and downloaded with SHA-256 verification. The pack list is on the app's Maps screen; they can also be fetched by hand from Releases. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
